PFA Meeting 2024
Probably time we started thinking about this year’s meeting. I had hoped for some program idea to bubble up, but I’ve got nothing. I’ve thought about a joint meeting with Clan Paisley USA, although I’m not sure what the venue for that would be, but it would give “them/us” an opportunity to meet.
We could also “piggy back” on some Scottish Games event, perhaps Middle Tennessee. I’m open to whatever folks want to do. Also open to a return to Mount Pleasant Church, since that’s where most of our members live. But if we decide to do that, we need to schedule soon before the weekends are gone.
Hi Don, finding a gathering location is always challenging. The church is always a good location for a number of our attending members. However the last few dates we choose have been a problem for some of our local members.; it seems to conflict with other planned family events. I think we should canvas our members again to review the desired date and their preferred meeting location. In the past we would do this survey ever few years to stir the pot and see what comes up. I do remember Diane saying that Gary would be presenting a updated briefing on our early Paisley/Maclean families PA connection at our next meeting. I would be checking with them for their preferred location/date meeting info.

Open at 11am for social, lunch at noon, business meeting and program to follow.
Lunch: $17 per person. BBQ dinners will be secured from a local restaurant. Please let me know by July 6th how many in your family will be attending. dlangsto@yahoo.com
Program: We will have an Artifact Show-and-Tell. Bring one or two family artifacts. They don’t have to be Paisley related, just a family item that means something to you. This will be casual, no need to prepare a formal presentation!
Please feel free to invite your extended family. We would love to meet them. Look forward to seeing everyone on July 13th!

It’s time once again to schedule our yearly meeting. We want as many of you as possible to come.
Please send me your preferences for this summer and any specific times when you are not available.
(Currently we are considering two Saturdays in July (13 and 27) at Mount Pleasant Church in NC.)
But we want a time and location that allows for maximum attendance of our membership. Thanks! Don
