What’s Next?

I’ve been wondering lately what’s missing from the website. We do a pretty good job, I think, on our “core missions” of genealogy and PFA history (through all those old newsletters and such). Thank you, Diane and Gary! But I’m wondering what we need to add to attract more users. Some sites have a lot more pictures–some even a picture of the day–although ours might have to be a picture of the week. So I guess my question of the month is “What would you like to see added to the website?” Thanks! Don

One response to “What’s Next?”

  1. I like the idea of a photo a week. Would a notice go out to members when a new photo is uploaded? Would these then be put in “photo albums” arranged by topic?

As for ideas to increase traffic to the site… The DAR has recently set up their own social media platform to go along with their web site. They wanted to get away from Facebook and have more control over content. Many DAR members are complaining that it is so much easier to access Facebook every day. Could the PFA set up a Facebook page and every time something new is added to the PFA website, a simultaneous notice is posted on the Facebook page with a link to click to access the new content on the PFA WordPress site? Running the two sites together may lead to more members and a fast way to get people looking at the website. It took me awhile to join Facebook, but now I check it everyday to see what new information is being posted in the genealogy forums and what my friends are up to.
