Paisley Family Association

Mark Ulmer presents “Paisley: From Ulster to Pennsylvania.” This was part of the 2025 Paisley Family Association annual meeting held July 26th in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Mark covers the Paisley family in Tyrone County Ireland, McLean and Major families in Londonderry Ireland, the path of travel in 1736 to Philadelphia Pennsylvania, and leased land near Norriton Pennsylvania. The presentation also touches on the Norris, Hamilton, Landy, and Marshall families. Mark doesn’t just talk about the family members, but brings in local history and historical background and presents a story how how our Paisley ancestors fit in society and survived.
